Spring 2020 In-House & COVID-19 Update

Greetings Team Pittsburgh families,

Thank you for your patience in waiting for more information about the spring schedule. We are anxious to get back to the rink and we miss our Team Pitt families, but we want to take proper steps in the dek return process.  That said, we are all still uncertain on what the newest norm will be, and even when that will be.  We have to await final approval from the City of Pittsburgh, who receive their go-ahead information from the Governor. 

While we know that some outdoor activities will resume this Thursday, organized and even recreational sports are not among the activities issued a greenlight.  However, we are attempting to get answers from the city, and while we await formal decisions, we will go back to operating in two week holding patterns for delivering information.

It is our hope to have a better answer in two weeks on when we can expect to resume play or if we can resume play. The spring season will overlap into the summer.  IF there is a deemed spring season, it will most likely go into July, leaving us a short summer break before the fall season, instead of having our usual shortened summer session. If this were to infringe on planned events please email and let us know.

Again we appreciate the patience, support, and we look forward to some semblance of a season. Rest assured that we will have a safety check list of how to co-exist while watching or playing games at the dek once we resume.  In the meantime, stay healthy and look to the website and social media for communication and always feel free to email Mike Ursta ([email protected]) or Rachael Rennebeck ([email protected]) with any other questions.
