The PA Child Protective Services Law changed recently. The change - which went into effect on July 1, 2015 - requires all coaches and volunteers involved with youth organizations to complete a State Police Criminal Record Check and a PA Child Abuse History Clearance. Individuals who have not resided in PA continuously for the previous 10 years must also complete an FBI Criminal Background Check. If you plan to volunteer as a coach or assistant coach at Team Pittsburgh, please complete these background checks and send in copies of your results to your in-house division administrator or the travel coordinator for travel coaches.
NOTE: PA Governor Tom Wolf waived all fees for volunteers who apply for the PA clearances after July 25, 2015.
